They need to understand that they have to be patient because it's not a matter of days. I have friends from England, Scotland, India, Spain and Germany and they sound very much different when they speak the language and I can see how the Americans speak from American movies. There are many outstanding on-line / off-line courses to perfect the English accent, but this should only be considered when one has a level of English fluency and has a requirement to perfect his / her pronunciation.
